APHP Conference 2019: Reconnecting Heritage - unpacking heritage dissonance

                                                                  Call for Papers

The Association of Professional Heritage Practitioners would like to invite you to submit
abstracts for papers to be presented at our first APHP Conference.

We encourage the submission of papers that will communicate and share:

- Lessons learned within the overarching theme of the conference
- Challenges experienced in “Reconnecting Heritage”
- Critiques in existing heritage management practice

Dates: 5 to 7 April 2019
Location: District Six Homecoming Centre, Buitenkant Street, Cape Town
Cost: To be Determined

Please submit abstracts for one or more of the following sessions:
1. Multi-disciplinarity in Heritage: The Nature of Heritage
2. Researching Heritage
3. Communities and Heritage
4. Heritage and the Law

We believe that every heritage practitioner has an experience or lesson learned that they
could communicate through a case study presentation or similar in any one of these
sessions. All members of APHP and others with professional interest in the Heritage Sector are invited
to submit abstracts. All submitted abstracts must:

- Have a title and author details
- Identify within which session the paper will be presented
- Be no more than 500 words

Abstracts must be emailed to: info@aphp.org.za by no later than noon on 31 January 2019.
